How it works

Daily Art replaces your new-tab page with a public-domain painting and a clock. It requests no permissions and no host permissions. All paintings are bundled inside the extension, so it never contacts the internet. Which painting to show each day is remembered in your browser's local storage on your device; this never leaves your browser.

The artwork

All images are in the public domain (CC0), sourced from the Art Institute of Chicago's open-access collection. Attribution is shown on every page.

Third parties & analytics

None. No analytics, no ads, no trackers, no external SDKs, no remote code.
